Reston Pride, a grassroots Northern Virginia organization that provides education and resources about LGBTQIA+ history and culture to the greater Reston community, is hosting two events for June Pride Month. The Geller Law Group is a proud sponsor of both events.
The first event taking place Saturday, June 5 from 2-6pm EST, will be hosted virtually. The online event includes a drag performance by Anja Dick, a panel discussion on aging in the LGBT community, dance performances, small business showcases, and a panel discussion on LGBTQIA families. Actor BD Wong will also be making a special appearance at the virtual event.
The Geller Law Group will have a virtual booth presence at this Reston Pride event.
The second event is a free, in-person festival and concert at Lake Anne Plaza on June 19th from 10am-2pm EST. The event opens with words of support from local elected officials, a Juneteenth memorial, and remarks from Amber Beichler of the Transgender Education Association of Greater Washington.
A series of drag and dance performances will take place throughout the day along with an awards ceremony and headliner performance by Wicked Jezabel, an award-winning band founded in the Washington, DC area.
