An Award-Winning, Women-Owned & Operated Law Firm
As providers of Elder Law and Estate Planning legal services, and as advocates of the Black Lives Matter movement, The Geller Law Group is proud to join the Caregivers Against Racism and Nurses Against Racism Coalitions.
Caregivers Against Racism Mission:
Caregivers Against Racism was created to give caregivers and senior care professionals the opportunity to stand in solidarity with the communities of people who are continually on the receiving end of social and racial injustice. We want to take this moment to listen and learn from our caregivers on how we can improve our industry and make sure everyone’s voice is heard, while also giving back to those who will lead us forward in these consequential times. Our mission is to create a coalition of caregivers and senior care providers who will work to make meaningful change towards racial equity in the home care industry. Through donations, initiatives and public feedback, we hope to rise up to the occasion and meet this moment head on.
About Nurses Against Racism:
Nurses Against Racism is a coalition of health care centered companies looking to make a difference. So much positive energy is being directed into the changes we seek. We want to recognize the leadership of these companies. Inspire your employees and other companies to step up and make a difference.
Geller Law Grouup lawyers are activists and philanthropists who continually fight for equality and work to provide for the less fortunate. As a firm, we are taking affirmative steps to expand our prior work to help combat racism and inequality.
During the month of June 2020, our firm’s Donation Matching Program was solely focused on donating thousands of dollars to organizations that support black lives, such as:
We’re also using our social media network to highlight and increase business for local black-owned companies. Please follow our Facebook page to participate in our contests and help support these businesses!
Additionally, this year we began to recognize Juneteenth as a paid firm holiday and supported the effort of GLG Owner/CEO Rebecca Geller to raise money for Fair Fight Action. Launched by Stacey Abrams, the goal of Fair Fight Action is to eliminate voter suppression, which disproportionately impacts Black voters.
