To accommodate its growing client list and the demand for legal services in the areas of Family Law, Business Law, and Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning and Probate throughout DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland, The Geller Law Group has added six new team members since the beginning of 2022.
Alice Ahearn joins the firm’s Family Law Practice. As an award-winning attorney, Alice guides clients through one of the most difficult times in their lives to emerge optimistic about the future. She excels at solving contentious and complex child custody problems, including relocation cases. She is also adept at resolving divorces with complicated financial issues, including business and stock valuations, the division of marital interest in a business, and spousal support.
Alice understands how emotional divorce and post-divorce issues can be and helps clients set realistic and achievable goals—both in regard to financial assets and long-term co-parenting arrangements. She counsels her clients about how to become financially educated and confident about managing their own finances.
While in law school, Alice served as President of the Family Law Society, a member of the Client Counseling and Negotiation Board, and interned with the Family Law Clinic at the National Center for Family Law. She is a cum laude graduate of the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in History and Sociology from Tulane University.
Growing up overseas as part of a foreign service family, Alice now enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two rescue dogs in their home in Falls Church, Virginia.
Morgan Champion joins GLG’s Business Law Group where she focuses on issues involving general business matters, intellectual property, employment, transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and litigation counseling. Prior to joining the firm, Morgan was an associate in the DC office of a large, global law firm. She earned her JD from the University of Richmond, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Morgan has weaved a legal career that allows her to be a bit of a Swiss Army knife for businesses, with expertise in IP-related matters, as well as contract review, litigation, and employment disputes. She enjoys the work immensely and strives to be a dependable resource for companies and organizations of all sizes operating in many different fields.
In her off-hours, Morgan enjoys cooking, hiking, training her overzealous dog, and being trained by her grumpy cat. She currently lives in Culver City, California with her wife, Jackie, while they plan to move back to the DC area.
Cameronne Taillon joins GLG’s Wills, Trusts, Estates and Probate Group. She’s passionate about helping her clients understand the importance and legal intricacies of estate planning as she recently lost her husband and is personally familiar with how valuable a well-thought-out and regularly updated estate plan can be. Cameronne believes this area of law is her calling and considers an estate plan, “a love letter to your family when you are gone.”
Prior to joining GLG, Cameronne was Of Counsel for a boutique estate planning firm in Northern Virginia. Her practice focuses on comprehensive estate planning; the creation of trusts, including special needs trusts; advanced medical directives; powers of attorney; and all other instruments and strategies for the preservation and protection of her clients’ assets according to their goals and aspirations.
Cameronne is a graduate of George Mason School of Law and earned her B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University. She grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated high school from The Madeira School in McLean.
In addition to her legal practice, Cameronne currently serves on the board of directors of Hope for Grieving Families, whose mission is to support and connect grieving families with children to agencies that provide grief counseling and professional services in the Greater DC area. She is also a member of Mothers of North Arlington (MONA) and served on the board of her neighborhood school PTA.
Cameronne lives in Vienna with her two sons, plus a Goldendoodle and a Collie. When she’s not driving her kids to their various sporting events, she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and hanging out with her friends at their annual mom+kids post-school beach trip.
Andrea Mellott joins the firm as a Probate Paralegal. Andrea brings over a dozen years of experience in Fairfax County courts to her position at GLG. She also has several years of experience serving as a part-time Library Assistant for the Fairfax Bar Association and Administrative Assistant for Fairfax County Public Library.
Prior to joining The Geller Law Group, Andrea served as Deputy Clerk, Probate for Fairfax Circuit Court where she interpreted statutes to make independent, legal decisions for application to the probate of wills, estate administration, appointment, and qualification of fiduciaries. She also evaluated and determined the validity of wills presented for probate, among other responsibilities.
As a Northern Virginia native, Andrea enjoys gardening and visiting local gardens, arboretums, and parks. She and her spouse have a young daughter and Andrea volunteers with her Girl Scout troop.
Alecia Danner has over 20 years of experience in law firm billing, including billing management, collections, accounts payables and accounts receivables, and general ledgers.
Prior to joining The Geller Law Group, Alecia worked as the billing manager at a DC-based law firm where she transitioned the firm from a traditional paper billing process to an online paperless process. She also served as co-chair of the firm’s DEI committee and currently, is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) DEI committee.
In her spare time, Alecia enjoys being a volleyball mom and attending her daughter’s volleyball tournaments. She is also a foodie who enjoys traveling, drinking an occasional glass of wine, and relaxing.
Ashley Wilson is a Billing Specialist with several years of experience in law firm financial operations including billing, collections, and accounts receivables.
Prior to joining the firm, Ashley worked as an accounting specialist for a Washington, DC-based defense litigation law firm. She also has several years of experience working as a Judiciary Clerk for the Montgomery County Circuit and District Court of Maryland.
Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys live music, playing tourist at museums, and hunting down vintage finds at flea markets.
