An Award-Winning, Women-Owned & Operated Law Firm
In September 2022, The Geller Law Group (GLG) hired Cassidy Stoneback as an LGBTQ+ Outreach Coordinator to implement the firm’s longstanding goal of being a welcoming and safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals. Cassidy brings several years of experience in political and community organizing and LGBTQ+ activism to the firm.
With ongoing changes in the legal landscape, particularly the recent introduction of anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-trans legislation in Virginia, The Geller Law Group is committed to keeping on top of issues that impact these communities and serving as a legal resource to those in need.
LGBTQ+ legal issues are complex, and for many individuals, they don’t just affect that person but their family, friends, and partners.
GLG has been an ally of LGBTQ+ individuals since its inception and will continue to do so by offering comprehensive legal services to all segments of the LGBTQ+ community.
GLG President/CEO Rebecca Geller recently co-hosted an event with Capitol Hill Village, “Navigating Legal Decisions for LGBT Individuals.” The session covered topics such as wills, estates, medical directives, and other legal matters related to ensuring LGBTQ+ elders and their loved ones are well protected.
The Geller Law Group has been added to Equality Virginia’s list of recommended legal professionals in Virginia. This list highlights legal resources that have demonstrated their commitment to representing LGBTQ+ individuals and that possess a firm understanding of LGBTQ+ legal issues.
GLG is a member of the DC Equality Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit that brings together LGBTQ+ and ally businesses and professionals. Working with this organization helps The Geller Law Group expand its outreach and develop strong relationships with local businesses, building a strong network of support for LGBTQ+ individuals in the DC Metro.
As part of the firm’s mission to ensure LGBTQ+ individuals understand the legal issues they may face, GLG is partnering with local organizations across DC, MD, and VA to organize informational seminars about various legal topics that impact LGBTQ+ individuals.
