Joanna Schindler is a Senior Associate serving primarily in the firm’s Business Law Practice.
Her practice focuses on providing legal counsel to businesses, both large and small, in the areas of business formation and compliance, contracts, operating agreements and acquisitions.
With a background in business, litigation and family law, Joanna she is well versed in commercial transactions as well as dispute resolution, all areas of the litigation process, as well as commercial transactions. Throughout her career, Joanna has counseled clients to reach creative solutions to conflicts, often resulting in resolutions that are successful and cost effective.
Joanna is also passionate about community service and child advocacy and serves as a qualified guardian ad litem for children in Fairfax and Loudoun County. Additionally, she has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children in Fairfax County.
Joanna received her J.D. from George Washington University and a B.A. from Michigan State University. She is licensed to practice in Virginia and Washington, D.C. and is a member of the business and family law sections of the Fairfax Bar Association, , the business law section of the Virginia State Bar, and the Virginia Women Attorneys Association., and the Family Law Section of the Virginia State Bar.
Residing in Northern Virginia with her husband, Chris, Joanna is a mom of two young adults, one teenager and two doodles. In her spare time, she enjoys paddle boarding, cycling, tennis, gardening, writing, cooking, and attending baseball games—both her son’s and the Washington Nationals.
