Andrea Mellott brings over a dozen years of experience in Fairfax County courts to her position as a Paralegal in the firm’s Probate Practice. She also has several years of experience serving as a part-time Library Assistant for the Fairfax Bar Association and Administrative Assistant for Fairfax County Public Library.

Prior to joining The Geller Law Group, Andrea served as Deputy Clerk, Probate for Fairfax Circuit Court where she interpreted statutes to make independent, legal decisions for application to the probate of wills, estate administration, appointment, and qualification of fiduciaries. She also evaluated and determined the validity of wills presented for probate, among other responsibilities.

Andrea is in the process of completing her Bachelor of Individualized Study Degree from George Mason University and has an Associate Degree in Photography from Northern Virginia Community College. She’s a member of a few historical societies and has been studying her family genealogy since 2004.

As a Northern Virginia native, Andrea enjoys gardening and visiting local gardens, arboretums, and parks. She and her spouse have a young daughter and Andrea volunteers with her Girl Scout troop.
