An Award-Winning, Women-Owned & Operated Law Firm
Rebecca Geller, President and CEO of The Geller Law Group, was recently featured in an article on ALM | Law.com, the industry-leading media platform behind over 18 award-winning legal publications. In the article “Women-Owned Midsize Law Firms Are Embracing Flexible Work Arrangements,” Rebecca discusses the core values that drive GLG’s culture and how flexibility has been ingrained in its business model since its founding.
Rebecca launched The Geller Law Group in 2011, inspired by her desire to create a work environment that allowed for better work-life balance for parents—something she felt was lacking during her time in Big Law. At a time when remote work was still rare, Rebecca envisioned a law firm where attorneys could work from home, set their own schedules, and thrive as modern-day parents.
Today, The Geller Law Group boasts a team of 37, all but one of whom are women, with 17 attorneys. With offices in Fairfax, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., the firm operates fully remotely, offering flexible schedules that cater to attorneys’ individual needs. Whether working full-time or part-time, GLG ensures that each attorney is compensated fairly based on their hours, with opportunities for bonuses if they exceed their goals.
Rebecca highlights that while flexible work has become more common since the COVID-19 pandemic, it has always been a cornerstone of The Geller Law Group’s recruitment strategy.
“The values the firm was really founded on was obviously delivering excellent legal work to our clients, but also making sure our employees are treated well and have the lifestyles that they want,” said Geller. “For some people, it’s working three-quarters time. Others, it’s full-time, but it’s really setting their schedule,” Rebecca explains.
This commitment to flexibility continues to set The Geller Law Group apart as a forward-thinking, women-led firm that prioritizes both client service and employee well-being.
