Megan Marzluff Honored as Pro Bono Paralegal of the Year

Megan Marzluff receiving the Pro Bono Paralegal of the Year Award

The Geller Law Group is proud to announce that Megan Marzluff, Estate/Probate Group Administrator and Paralegal, has been named the 2025 Pro Bono Paralegal of the Year by the Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center/Fairfax Law Foundation. The award was presented at the Fairfax Bar Association’s State of the Judiciary Luncheon on Thursday, November 20th, where GLG colleagues were honored to attend in support of her achievement.

This recognition highlights Megan’s ongoing dedication to expanding access to legal services in our community. As an active volunteer with the Fairfax Bar Association’s Wills on Wheels program, Megan supports attorneys in delivering essential estate planning services to older adults and individuals who may not otherwise have access to them.

At each Wills on Wheels clinic, Megan brings warmth, compassion, and steadiness — assisting with notarizations and document execution for two to four clients at a time and offering reassurance during what can be an emotional and unfamiliar process. Her ability to connect with seniors and make them feel seen, respected, and supported has made her a trusted presence at every event.

The Director of Pro Bono Activities for the Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center shared this commendation:

“Congratulations! Your enthusiasm and willingness to assist our attorneys and Wills on Wheels clients has been much appreciated. Your offers to assist, even without the involvement of attorneys from your firm, is a testament to your dedication to helping others.”

Megan’s commitment to service extends well beyond Wills on Wheels. Through The Geller Law Group, she has volunteered annually with organizations including the Lorton Community Action Center, Mobile Hope, JK Community Farm, Greater DC Diaper Bank, A Wider Circle, Rise Against Hunger, Capital Area Food Bank, and Women Giving Back.

Outside of the firm, Megan and her family devote time each year to Feed My Starving Children through New Hope Church, participate in outreach programs with Nativity Catholic Church, and support youth programs at her daughter’s dance studio.

GLG President & CEO Rebecca Geller shared her appreciation:

“Megan’s enthusiasm for helping others and her hands-on support of the Wills on Wheels program reflect The Geller Law Group’s deep commitment to giving back. We’re fortunate to have her as part of our team and proud to see her recognized as this year’s Pro Bono Paralegal of the Year. Megan does so much to give back to our community and is such a joy to work with every day!”

The Fairfax Law Foundation serves as the charitable arm of the Fairfax Bar Association, advancing equal access to justice and providing law-related education throughout Fairfax County. The Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center supports low-income individuals across the region by connecting them with legal assistance in civil matters.

Megan’s award is a well-deserved reflection of her compassion, professionalism, and deep commitment to community service. We are grateful for her leadership and proud to celebrate this exciting milestone in her career.
