An Award-Winning, Women-Owned & Operated Law Firm
Angela M. Griffith has joined The Geller Law Group as a Partner adding her comprehensive Elder Law and Medicaid Planning services to the firm’s award-winning Estate Practice. True Patchell, an experienced paralegal with a focus on Elder Law and Estate Planning, joins GLG with Angela.
Angela is among Northern Virginia’s most well-respected lawyers practicing Elder Law and has served as President of the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, where she was also “Chapter Member of the Year” in 2021. Additionally, Angela serves as Co-Chair of the Arlington County Bar Association, Elder Law Section.
The Geller Law Group’s Elder Law Practice will specialize in issues related to the senior population and their family members and caregivers. Led by Angela, the practice will handle planning for quality of care, asset protection, Medicaid planning, fostering independence and autonomy, and long-term care options. This includes estate planning for older adults as well as planning for senior adults with disabled children.
Angela will also continue practicing in the areas of estate planning for all ages, probate, trust and estate administration, guardianships, conservatorships, special needs planning, and fiduciary services.
A native of Northern Virginia, Angela’s been serving the senior population and disabled adults since 1997. She obtained a Bachelor of Social Work and a Minor in gerontology, leading to her work in local assisted living communities. This continued passion for assisting the senior population and their caregivers led to Angela becoming an attorney.
Angela is a Qualified Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) for adult incapacitated persons for the Commonwealth of Virginia and a member of a number of professional organizations related to elder law and wills, trusts, and estates.
True Patchell also joins The Geller Law Group’s Elder Law and Estate Practice. True is a native Northern Virginian and brings nearly 20 years of elder law, estate planning, and probate administration experience to the firm. True is a tremendous asset as a former employee of local boutique law firms.
GLG President/CEO Rebecca Geller states, “I’m delighted that Angie Griffith and True Patchell have joined our firm! We’ve been receiving inquiries for elder law and Medicaid planning in Virginia several times a week. Considering Angie’s and True’s extensive experience and excellent reputations in the legal industry, I’m thrilled we can now confidently offer these services to GLG clients.”
