Chandra Sheppard is an associate at The Geller Law Group specializing in all areas of Family Law, including same-sex, common-law marriages, custody cases, and divorce.
Prior to joining The Geller Law Group, Chandra practiced with a boutique family law firm in Washington, DC.
Chandra taught as an adjunct law professor focusing on criminal law and statutory interpretation after graduating cum laude from George Mason’s School of Law. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in political science from George Mason University.
During her last year of law school, Chandra clerked for a small law firm in Fairfax, Virginia doing civil litigation work. During her second year of law school, she worked as a summer honors law clerk for the Environmental Protection Agency Office of the General Counsel. In her first year of law school, Chandra served as a judicial intern at the Superior Court for the District of Columbia under the honorable Robert R. Rigsby. While in law school, she also served as a trial advocacy executive board member and an administrative law research assistant.
Before law school, Chandra worked with AmeriCorps to provide immigration aid to those living in underserved, Spanish-speaking communities.
Chandra is a member of the family law section of the Virginia State Bar, and is a member of the family law section of the Fairfax Virginia Bar Association.
In her spare time, Chandra enjoys tiny home living on a lot of land! She spends her time raising chickens, two dogs, and a cat, mixing tea blends, cooking, and playing in an adult, recreational roller hockey league.
Chandra is fiercely passionate about social justice and LGBTQA+ rights.
