Business Senior Associate

The Geller Law Group, PLLC, an award-winning, rapidly growing firm located in Fairfax is currently seeking a Business Senior Associate to join our practice. We operate a highly successful and busy firm with 15 attorneys.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assisting clients with formation and/or compliance of their business(es)

  • Drafting business documents, including organization documents, operating, shareholder and employment and commercial transactions

  • Provide legal guidance and support

 

Job Requirements

  • Active Virginia bar license (DC and/or Maryland bar licenses are a bonus)

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with:

    • Start-ups

    • Business & contract matters

    • Business formation; and 

    • Trademark familiarity

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and think outside of the box.   

  • Acute analytical and critical thinking skills are required. 

  • Must be capable of clearly expressing written and oral ideas with proper grammar, formatting and professionalism. 

  • Ability to manage deadlines, client demands, work with multiple partners, and oversee support staff. 

  • Excellent research, organizational, communication, and legal writing skills with a high level of attention to detail required.

  • Effective time management, planning and organization skills to accomplish tasks in a timely manner are needed.

LGBTQ Outreach Coordinator

The Geller Law Group, PLLC, an award-winning, rapidly growing firm located in Fairfax, VA is hiring a part-time LGBTQ outreach coordinator in the DC/NoVA region to assist the firm in reaching out to and connecting with the LGBTQ community and individuals in need of legal services for adoption and surrogacy needs. Experience working for, significant volunteer experience with, and/or connections within a wide social and/or professional network of DC/NoVA region LGBTQ organizations and/or community groups is required. The position could be done in addition to a current full-time job as this work would only require approximately 3-5 hours/week for approximately 4 months. 

 

Preferred candidates are motivated, self-starters who communicate well and think creatively. The candidate would work independently, mostly from home, and on their own schedule. There is no requirement or expectation to work in our office or to work a certain schedule.
