An Award-Winning, Women-Owned & Operated Law Firm

Business Attorney Tammy Hui Joins The Geller Law Group!

Tammy Hui joins the firm as Of Counsel in the Business Law Group.

Prior to joining The Geller Law Group, Tammy owned a solo law practice in Washington, DC servicing small businesses and nonprofits.

She previously served as in-house counsel to an environmental non-profit for eight years where she was embedded in the day-to-day operations of a dynamic global organization.

Tammy’s legal experience also includes a post-law school clerkship at the Supreme Court of New York, Appellate Division, Third Department, and internships at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and a real estate firm in New England. Additionally, Tammy has experience working at a growing technology company and her family’s multiple small businesses.

As a former solo practitioner, Tammy is a knowledgeable resource for entrepreneurs and emerging companies starting and growing their businesses. She’s actively involved with organizations that support entrepreneurship in the DC business community and is a frequent volunteer for the DC Bar Pro Bono Center’s Small Business Brief Advice Legal Clinic.

Tammy received her JD/MBA from Western New England University, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Western New England Law Review, and earned a Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in international business from the University of Alberta in Canada. She is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland, and New York.

Tammy plays in ball hockey leagues in the DMV, enjoys photography and traveling, and was formerly a ski instructor in the Canadian Rocky Mountains (until her mom told her to get a “real” job). Tammy lives in DC with her husband and is expecting her first child this spring.
